Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.

This event isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft carrying a senior official has encountered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
