Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Around 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance intending to announce complete information via its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Earlier reports had indicated that Paramount aimed to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.

The company did not immediately respond on the matter.
